We need fair elections

One of the most effective propaganda campaigns in American history was waged six years ago. Many Americans claimed that the presidential election had been “stolen” and that Donald Trump, not Joe Biden, was the actual winner. It was very effective and it still is being promoted today by many people, including the President and many people in his Administration. The big problem is that it is not true! There was no factual evidence of significant voting fraud in 2020 and there is still no evidence to support the idea that the election was rigged. That claim was tossed out of court time after time in 2020 and no new factual evidence has been discovered that would lead any rational person to conclude that Mr. Trump won that presidential election.

Tragically, some of the same people who protested about a supposedly “rigged election” in 2020 are now trying to subvert the elections of 2026. With the support of the Supreme Court’s ghastly decision to gut the Voting Rights Act of 1965, many Southern states are boldly seeking to rig the mid-term elections to insure that Republicans will win Congressional elections, even in districts where Black Representatives have won in the past. By carving up historically Black districts, the Republicans hope to unseat many current Democratic Representatives, including people like long-serving Jim Clyburn of South Carolina. This is anti-democratic and outrageous. And the evidence is right in front of us. Americans who are pro-democracy must join together to, indeed, “Stop the Steal!”

We urge voters to keep abreast of these developments. The factual evidence is clear and responsible news media are documenting these nefarious attempts to steal elections. We hope you will join us in opposing this unfair and un-American usurpation of the voting power of many Americans, especially those who are non-White.
