The turbulent Trump era
I write today to inquire of my fellow educated and well aware neighbors if perhaps they recall such phases, which were expounded upon in the summer months of 2025 such as “ total annihilation” complete and utter destruction” “all nuclear facilities totally destroyed”, “ no more nuclear threat” from Iran.
The record reflects that the narrator of these obviously bullying untrue boasts was “the orange man with the $250 hairdo on the 59 cent head,” that’s right Donald J Trump, and as a tribute to Fred G, Sanford, the J stands for joke.
I write this opinion as a truly embarrassed American that this world renowned President is my president. Proudly, I left my party and voted for the democratic nominee, hoping that they could ease the world tension. We were not victorious and now we are faced with a lame duck with his fat fingers on the future of us all.
As for my opening inquiry re memories of summer 2025, I would pose these questions: If Iran was as totally devastated as reported, why are we still in a potentially defensive position? And if the Iranian military is as reportedly so beaten down, why is the strait of Hormuz still closed as I write to world traffic. To me personally, this Iranian adventure was the big opportunity for Trump, with his fat fingers leaving latent prints all over OUR nuclear arsenal. I hope we are all able and well to see the exit of this wanna-be king.
