NEW LONDON — New London Hospital has named Steven Finnegan as its chief operating officer.
Finnegan, who has served as COO at Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility in Hampstead, N.H., since July 2022, will begin his new role at the end of April, according to a news release from Lebanon-based Dartmouth Health.
Both New London Hospital and Hampstead Hospital are part of the Dartmouth Health network.
As COO of New London Hospital, he will also oversee the Newport Health Center. Finnegan replaces Lori Underwood, who retired in January.
“His expertise and proven track record of mission-driven leadership and patient-centered outcomes will accelerate NLH’s strategic goals, ensuring we can continue our mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the communities we serve,” Dr. Lauren A.G. Wirth, president and CEO of New London Hospital, said in the release.
