The Hanover High Bears conquered Thursdayโ€™s ski jumping state meet at Proctor Ski Area in Andover, N.H., and claimed championship glory for the fifth consecutive time.ย

Hanover (376) beat out seven other teams, including Kennett (372.5), Plymouth (357), Mascoma (183), Concord (97), Londonderry (92.5), Sunapee (85), and Lebanon (84).

Hanoverโ€™s Hayden Clapp (213.25) and Harris Bushell (212) finished first and second overall and had what Bearsโ€™ Head Coach Tom Dodds described as the furthest and โ€œmost stylish jumpsโ€ during the meet.

Dodds also pointed to the contributions of Collin Andrade (173.5/13th overall), Julian Hart (173.25/14th overall), and Rocco Adamoli-Puchalik (167.5/18th overall) for their performances that also helped propel Hanover to victory.

โ€œI am so proud of the way this group stepped up. All six members of our states team had their top performances of the year. So cool to see them peak at the state meet,โ€ Dodds said.

As for other local results, Mascoma Highโ€™s Timmy Tourville finished fifth overall, with 198.25 points, and Lebanonโ€™s Helena Mielcarz finished fourth for the girls and 19th overall with 159.75 points.

Additionally, Tourville has been named a member of the Eastern Division Junior National Team, which will be competing in Steamboat Springs, Colo., next month.
