Budgets and spending articles: The proposed operating budget is up from last year’s $1.06 million at $1.14 million, with $980,000 to come from taxes. There is also a requested appropriation of $94,000 for the West Fairlee Volunteer Fire Department, up from last year’s approved $90,000.
When, where and how to vote: The floor meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. in the town’s Community Building. Australian ballot voting for officers and the budget is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Community Building.
