South Royalton, VT – Louise Nettie (Perron) Caron, 90, died on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Mayo Healthcare Nursing Home in Northfield, VT. She was born to Fred and Bertha Perron on January 17, 1935 in Gaysville, VT. She grew up in Bethel, attending school there and graduating from Whitcomb High School in 1953.
She married Leonel Caron on May 8, 1954 and they spent their married lives in South Royalton where she continued to live after his passing. Louise and Leonel spent many years camping with family and friends at Button Bay State Park and then at their camp in the Northeast Kingdom.
She was a dedicated worker at her places of employment which included Merrimaids in Randolph and Chelsea, Luminescent Systems in Lebanon, ending with cooking for the Royalton Senior Meals where she spent hours shopping for the best deals, planning and preparing tasteful meals two days a week.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Leonel; a brother Fred and a daughter-in-law Karen. She is survived by her sons Gary (Christine) and Ron (Pam); her grandchildren Jeremiah, Jason, Josh, Brandy and Bridget; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; her sister Bev Lenk; sisters-in-law Marge Caron and Judy Morgan along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be remembered for the wonderful meals she created and her love and care of her grandchildren. She spent the last couple of years at the Mayo Healthcare Residential Care Facility in Northfield, VT where she received exceptional care from the staff there.
A graveside service will be planned for the spring of 2026.
