A recent article (“Mountain Views leaders lodge complaints about proposed map”; Nov. 5) ends with Rep. Charlie Kimbell urging area residents to “show their concern” about the potential division of the supervisory union, which would, ultimately, very likely lead to the closure of Woodstock Union High School Middle School. This strikes me as odd given that Kimbell voted for the very school consolidation bill responsible for this eventuality. Where was Rep. Kimbell’s concern earlier this year when many, including myself, urged him to vote against this bill? He was warned that our school was at stake, but dismissed such predictions as overreactions. I hope that his constituents will reach out to him in greater numbers this time around to let him know that we value our school and our children’s’ education. Perhaps this time he will listen.
