No Kings II is a National Day of Action. Five organizations from both sides of the Connecticut River are teaming up for a VT/NH Day of Solidarity. Timed so you can attend all three, the rallies are in Orford/Fairlee, Newbury VT, and Littleton NH. Numbers count!
This is a critical moment for all who are concerned about our administrationโs flat-out disregard for the ordinary people of our country and our countryโs Constitution. On Oct. 18 you can say NO, this is not what we want. What do we want? Health care, groceries, a livable wage? Affordable housing, education, child care? Inexpensive energy? Disaster relief? Freedom from fear? Dignity? A serious government? How about just some predictability?
We are stronger than the people in power when we come together.
Join us! Share the word. Bring your determination and courage, bring your US flags, your signs, your energy, and most of all your friends and family. Be counted, sign up with https://www.mobilize.us/! Bring food to share, cookies for activists, and shelf food for neighbors in need. But come!
Orford/Fairlee Rally, Samuel Morey Memorial Bridge, 10 a.m. to noon.
Newbury Rally, on the Common in Newbury, 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Littleton NH Rally, Main Street, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
We share a bedrock commitment to nonviolence. We rally to show our support for the Constitution and the rule of law. Everyone is welcome. Many things are going on that a lot of us are uncomfortable with, regardless of where weโre coming from. We suspect weโre in agreement on more than we realize. This is solidarity.
Who is behind this? Your neighbors on both sides of the river: Corinth/Topsham Indivisible, folks in North Grafton County and Orford, Third Act in Newbury, and North Country Resilience in Littleton.
Join us on Oct. 18.
Catherine Kidder, West Newbury
