Oxbow hosts home meet
On Tuesday, Oxbow hosted its home meet, which featured Blue Mountain Union, Lyndon Institute, and Lake Region Union. Lyndon and Lake Region were the only squads that had enough runners to score as a team, and Lyndon won both the boys and girls races with 27 points in each.
Oxbow had some strong performances during the meet, which included a first-place finish in the girls’ race for senior Casey Wiedrick (22:47), who was recognized before the races. Oxbow’s Jake Danis (19:22) finished third in the boys’ race, and another Oxbow boys runner, Bentley Rivers (25:57), finished 12th.

Key Moment: Scoring first and often kept the team locked in, Harkins’ saves in goal were key as well.

Key athletes: Allie Morlock scored the Hartford goal on a penalty kick. Rai Jones was stout in goal for the Hurricanes with several big saves to keep the game in reach.
