NORWICH — The Exit 13 southbound on-ramp on Interstate 91 in Norwich will be closed effective at noon on Friday.
Traffic will be redirected along Route 5 to the southbound on-ramp at Exit 12 in Wilder, Vermont’s Agency of Transportation announced on Thursday.
The Exit 13 on-ramp will remain closed until Oct. 3 while construction crews work on an ongoing bridge maintenance project, VTrans said in a news release.
VTrans announced it would be temporarily closing the ramp after a two-vehicle collision there on Sept. 10.
The crash, which caused no injuries, was the second in that spot since the maintenance project began in July and highlighted visibility issues in the construction corridor that drivers accessing I-91’s southbound lane were having with oncoming traffic.
