BARNARD — The Barnard Selectboard has appointed Kurt Lessard to a seat previously held by the late Robert “Bob” Edmunds.
Edmunds, 66, died on March 9. His three-year term on the Selectboard was set to end in 2027.
Lessard’s appointment will last until Town Meeting in 2026, when residents will vote on elected officials, according to a news release from the town.
