Budgets and spending articles: The proposed highway fund budget is $967,000, of which $681,000 is to come from taxes. Thatโ€™s roughly equivalent to last yearโ€™s highway fund of $953,000, of which $683,000 was to come from taxes. The proposed general fund budget is $531,000, of which $252,000 is to come from taxes. Thatโ€™s up from last yearโ€™s general fund of $493,000, of which $241,000 was to come from taxes. The proposed highway capital equipment fund is $130,000 to be raised by taxes, the same amount as last year.

Where, when and how to vote: Town Meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at the town hall in Cookeville. Australian ballot voting for officers will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
