Sylvester, Ga. — Mrs. Rita S. Lambert, 90, of Sylvester died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at PruittHealth Sylvester.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, in the Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Lambert Family Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon Poole will officiate.

Mrs. Lambert was born on March 27, 1926 in Lebanon, N.H. to the late Leon and Jenny Conley Stone. She had lived in Worth County since November 1990, moving here from White River Junction, Vt. Mrs. Lambert retired from Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital where she worked as an LPN. She enjoyed cooking, reading and growing flowers but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lambert was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her son, John Lambert (Cheryl) of Sylvester; daughters, Mary Lambert of Loveland, Colo., and Elizabeth Lambert of Jay, Vt.; daughter-in-law, Ruth Lambert of White River Junction; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 p.m. until the Service Hour at Banks Funeral Home.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Leon Lambert on March 27, 2011; a son, Stephen Lambert and a grandson, Kevin Lambert.
