Westminster, Vt. — Albert “Albie” Lober, 68, of Kurn Hattin Road died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016. Albie was born in Bellows Falls, Vt. on Jan. 5, 1948, the son of Allen and Alice (Rousell) Lober.

He was a 1966 graduate of Bellows Falls High School and worked for Farrs Garage, Gleason’s, Holmes Transportation, L&L Auto, and retired from ABF in 2009. Following retirement he drove truck for Bucky Adams and Mr. G’s.

Albie loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on the Connecticut River, and spending time at the Kurkul Farm.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Susan (Lynch) Lober; his sons, James of Westminster & daughter-in-law, Laura of Andover and Thomas & wife, Stacey of Sharon, Vt.; his brothers, John & wife, Sandi of Bomoseen, Vt. and Robert & wife, Susan of Westminster; and his five grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, and Jed of Westminster and Olivia and Alexander of Sharon. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Mary Lober.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2 at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, Vt. followed by a reception at the Westminster Firehouse. There are no calling hours.
