Windsor, Vt. — Robert R. Shambo, 61, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2016, at his home in Windsor, surrounded by his family. He was born in Windsor on Aug. 3, 1954, the son of Robert W. and Lorraine (Merrill) Shambo.

He was a machinist at Cone Blanchard in Windsor. Robert also was employed by the Claremont Gas Company, an LNA at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor VT and a security officer for Allied Security. 

He was a proud member of the Civil Air Patrol serving as Cadet Commander. He was married on Sept. 3, 1972, to Judith (Lavoie) Shambo of Claremont N.H. Robert is survived by one son, Robert L. Shambo; two daughters, Barbara and Jessica Shambo; and seven grandchildren. Also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Robert is also survived by four sisters, Sandi Theetge and Rory LaRock, Judi Hill, Lori and Staci Boutwell, Barbie Shambo and Mike Vivian; two brothers, Billy and Diannah Shambo and Randy and Sheila Shambo.

He was predeceased by two sisters Betty Jean and Ruth Shambo.

Services will be held at Childs Cemetery in Cornish, N.H., on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the home of Barbie Shambo on Town House Road in Cornish, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
