Enfield, N.H. —
She was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Trenton, N.J. the daughter of Wilson and Alice (Barcalow) Ryan. She received her schooling in Highstown, N.J. and graduated from Highstown High School in 1950. She married Robert F. Bushway on May 1, 1951, in Cranberry, N.J. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed raising her family. They moved to Windsor in 1965 where she was employed at the former J.J. Newberry’s and more recently at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center as a Certified Nurses Assistant for several years. Her husband passed away on May 12, 1991. Phyllis moved to Plant City, Fla. in 1993 where she worked at the local K-Mart. She moved back to Enfield in October of 2014 to be closer to her family.
She was also predeceased by her parents and one brother, Wilson Ryan.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie J. Johnson of Enfield and Brenda A. Reyes of Bradenton, Fla.; two sons, Robert R. Bushway of Westminster, Vt. and Ron C. Bushway of Newport, N.H.; one brother, Dana L. Ryan of St. Louis, Mo.; and one sister, Edith A. Russo of Mountain View, Ariz.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Bushway’s request, a private graveside service will be held for the immediate family in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Windsor.
