WEST LEBANON, NH — Marilyn Shea, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on April 22, 1938 to Mary Frances and Daniel Edward Shea. While a nun in the order of the Religious of the Secret Heart of Mary (Sister Teresa Marie) she earned a Masters Degree in Education followed by a PhD in Religion. Upon her retirement from the order, Marilyn worked as an aerospace systems analyst before moving to the Upper Valley.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters Kathleen MacKay and Michael Shea-Zackin, her niece, Tricia MacKay-Monheim, her nephew, Alex MacKay and her grandnephews, Aidan and Liam Monheim as well as their father Eric Monheim. She was predeceased by her siblings, Daniel and Helen Shea.
Marilyn was a singular person, and her sense of humor was unmatched. She was much beloved by her family and all those who were lucky enough to encounter her. She is greatly missed by all of us.
