Patricia Catherine (Clancy) Dickinson

Quechee, Vt. — Patricia Catherine (Clancy) Dickinson, 78, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017, at Mt. Ascutney Hospital in Windsor, Vt. She was born June 14, 1938, in Dover, N.H., to Thomas W. and Helen (Hughes) Clancy. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy, Dover, in 1956. Pat loved life and enjoyed working at the Quality Inn, Quechee, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. After raising four boys she moved to Maine in the late 80’s where she worked until returning to the Quality Inn in the late 90’s. She loved hunting with her boys and telling stories that were often embellished but always funny. She enjoyed all types of racing from dirt track to black top, and was an avid NASCAR fan rooting for Bill Elliott and Kasey Kane. She knew statistics of all the drivers and one of the things she looked forward to the most was attending the races at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway twice a year with her boys.

She is survived by four sons, Thomas Dickinson, his wife, Benita and their six children, Kristina, Valerie, Michelle, Kimberly, Thomas, Jr and Justin; James Dickinson, his wife, Dorothy and their two children, Jenifer and Nichole; Sean Dickinson, his wife, Renee and their, daughter Amanda; and Jeffrey Dickinson, all of Vermont. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Keniston and her husband, Robert, Jr of Lee, N.H.; and several great-grandchildren.

At her request there are no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held March 25, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Universalist Society of Hartland, Hartland Four Corners, Vt. (Next to Skunk Hollow Tavern). All are welcome to attend. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction assisted with arrangements.
