SPRINGLAKE, NC — Brenda Jette of North Carolina died in the early hours of January 7, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was at home with her daughter and her family when she passed. She was 64.

Brenda was born March 28, 1956 to Leon and Frances Raymond of West Lebanon, NH, later of North Thetford, VT. Brenda was married twice (Brian Gregory of Post Mills, VT, and Robert Jette of Lebanon, NH), and although both marriages ended in divorce, she was blessed with three beautiful children and 11 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She also loved and was grateful for her many friends in the Upper Valley, especially those at Windsor Hollow in WRJ, VT, where she resided until December 2019. She became too ill to live alone so she moved to North Carolina to live with her daughter, April, and family. She was happy there and was well cared for.

Brenda was predeceased by her parents, a sister-in-law (Katy Raymond), and a brother-in-law (Harold Adams). She is survived by her children, Shawn (Derilyn) Gregory, April (Edward) Van Slyke, and Meghan (Kyle) Mexicotte, her 11 grandchildren, and her siblings Anthony (Katy) Raymond, Shirley (Harold) Adams, Sandra (Donald) Smith, Philip (Stephanie) Raymond, Stephen (Norma) Raymond, and Ida (Edward) Kimball, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, She was much loved and will be greatly missed.

At Brenda’s request, there will be no services. However, the family plans to have a celebration of her life later in the summer providing the threat of Covid-19 has passed. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society or the Upper Valley Haven. To share memories or condolences, go to memorial.metropolitancrematorium.com.
