WEST LEBANON — Police restricted access to a West Lebanon apartment complex and were in the process of issuing a shelter-in-place notice Monday morning before a suicidal man with a loaded gun surrendered, authorities said.

Lebanon police responded to a Pinetree Lane apartment after receiving a call at 9:15 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the police. They were joined by the Hartford Police Department and the Lebanon Fire Department.

Though initially there was a woman in the apartment with the suicidal man, she was able to leave and speak with police.

The man surrendered to police at 9:50 a.m. and was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for evaluation.

There are no charges pending, and no one was injured in the incident, police said.
