Chelsea, Vt. — Barbara A. Murray, 68, of Chelsea and formerly of Barre, Vt., died on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, in Lebanon, N.H. She was born in Barre to Virginia (Carpenter) and Stanley L. Murray.

She graduated from Spaulding High School, and attained her Associate’s Degree from Asnuntuck Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree from Vermont College. She was an accomplished artist and musician.

She was predeceased by her parents and her step-father, Ferd Schlanger. She is survived by her sister, Bonnie Murray Riddle and her husband, Jack, of South Portland, Maine; her nephew, Benjamin Taylor Murray of Bar Harbor, Maine; her stepbrother, Joel M. Schlanger of Aiken, S.C.; and her dear friend, Kenneth T. Murray, of Kennebunk, Maine.

At her request there will be no public services. The Boardway & Cilley Funeral Home, Chelsea is assisting the family with arrangements.
