Philadelphia, Pa. — Diane Lynn (nee Boutwell) Kermick, age 67, of Philadelphia died on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was the daughter of Charlotte J. Boutwell and the late Jeffrie R. Boutwell. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving children and their spouses: Jeffrie S. and Peggy Kermick and Leslie A. and Kelton Pennel, by her sister, Linda Holmes (Allen) and by four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrie R. Boutwell, Jr., by her daughter, Jessica Kermick, and by her granddaughter, Isabella S. Pennel.

Diane graduated from Keene High School in 1967. She moved on to attend River Valley Community College in Claremont, N.H., where she obtained her LPN Nursing degree. Diane worked in the nursing profession for 34 years. She was a passionate professional, who cared deeply for those she served. Diane helped thousands of people and was a mentor to others. She knew the majority of the hospital staff she worked with by name, and was admired by her peers and colleagues.

Diane was extremely crafty, helping her children with school projects, working with needlepoint, ceramics and wood. She also dabbled in calligraphy, and had stellar penmanship. Diane had a deep love for her family, and worked heavily in the family genealogy.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery, Sunapee Street, Newport, NH 03773.
