Norwich — Deb and Mike Martin, of Stowe, Vt., and John and Rita Severinghaus, of Norwich, announce the marriage of their children, Shelly Martin and Jonathan Severinghaus on Sept. 10, 2016 at Bliss Ridge in Moretown, Vt.

The bride’s older brother, Dana Martin, officiated. The maid of honor was Kate Olsen and the bridesmaid was Kendra Neff. The best man was Daniel Tukey and the groomsman was Jordan Alcott. Readers were Tracy Martin, the bride’s sister-in-law, and Elysa Severinghaus, the bridegroom’s sister. Reception, dinner and merriment immediately followed the wedding ceremony held atop the fields of a hillside farm overlooking Camel’s Hump, Mount Mansfield and the Mad River Valley.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Stowe High School and a 2008 graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. She is project manager for Earthshift, a lifecycle assessment consultancy focused on product sustainability.

The bridegroom is a 2004 graduate of Hanover High School and a 2009 graduate of St. Lawrence University, where the couple met. He is currently studying architecture and working at the Cushman Design Group in Stowe.

The couple live in Morristown, Vt., with their dog, Luna, and are planning a honeymoon to British Columbia in February.
