Post Mills, Vt. — On Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, as God held out his hands and said walk with me my son, I will bring you home and bear your pain – with his family by his side, Jeff took Gods hands.
Jeffrey Fifield, Sr. was born on April 22, 1958, in Hanover, N.H. the son of Everett (Butch) and Evelyn(Peg) Fifield of Thetford, Vt.
Most of his life he took pride in his career as an electrician, and in 1989 acquired and built Jeff’s Rubbish Removal. Jeff also cut, split and delivered firewood and plowed. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outside and especially treasured every November spending time with his closet friends in Maine at hunting camp.
Jeff was the loving rock and foundation of his family and adored his granddaughter, Eaden, fondly referring to her as Grampie’s Sunshine.
Jeff was predeceased by his father and mother and two brothers, Everett and Derek (Ricky) Fifield.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie Fifield, whom he was married to for 32 years; one son, Jeffrey and his partner, Megan; his granddaughter and sunshine of his life, Eaden Virginia; sisters, Mary Sargent and family from Brattleboro Vt., Sandy Barry and husband, David, and Karen Barry and husband, Peter both from Maine; sisters and brother-in-law, Leeanne Noce and family, Laurie and Dan McCool from Ohio and Erick Larson and family from New York; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. Two very special people to him were his nephew Mark and John Graff.
Jeff had many friends and was a pillar of strength to all. He will be remembered in so many special ways.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, Vt. A celebration of his life with a BBQ will be held at a later date and will be announced. Burial will be private for family and held in the spring.
