Last year: Tied for first in regular season, lost in first round of the playoffs

Returnees: Seniors — Cean Lieberman Jr.; Juniors — Franklin George III, Corinne George; JV team — eighth grade, Lilliam Lachle; seventh grade, Chloe Roger and Jacob Tyburski.

Newcomers: Seniors, Jordynn Ellison, Katrina Quillia, Isabelle Vandeberg, Mackenzie Weston; Freshman, Joey Gallant; JV team — seventh grade, Madelyn Musshafen; sixth grade, Dominic Caicedo

Anaylsis: Lieberman said bringing back three varsity and three JV bowlers will help solidify both squads and the hope is the four new seniors can have an impact on the varsity level and keep Hartford competitive. But he added that the program is challenged with no local alley to bowl and it is a struggle to find students who want to bowl.

WINDSOR

Coach: Steve Bly (10)

League: Southern Division

Last year: Did not bowl due to COVID pandemic. Patrick Kelley was individual state champion in 2020.

Returnees: Senior — Patrick Kelley; Sophomore — Sara DeSchamp

Newcomers: Senior — Bailey Eddie; Freshmen — Avery Bean and Alyssa St Louis (member to member from Springfield High School)

Analysis: “This is a rebuilding year with Patrick being our only returning starter,” said Bly. “I feel he can pick up where he left off after not bowling last year. Our new bowlers are looking good and I feel they will be a solid group by the end of the year.”

STEVENS

Coach: Shawn Wadsworth (11)

League: NHIAA Division 1

Last year: Four wins, four second place finishes, one 3rd place; state champions

Returnees: Seniors: Cam Bard, Colby Craig, Alexys Corliss, RJ Raymond, Hayden Grenier; junior Pat Fredette,

Newcomers: Freshman — Devyn Corliss

Analysis: After defeating the top seed Keene last year for the state championship, Stevens will look to prove it was no fluke.

“We have a strong team and should be very competitive all season,” Wadsworth said. “We just need to keep our team together and make spares.”
