North Scituate, R.I. — Scott M. Sanborn, 65, a North Scituate resident since 1978, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Susan C.(Capasso) Sanborn for 42 years. Born in Lebanon, N.H., he was a son of Geraldine (Towle) Sanborn and the late Harold J. Sanborn. Mr. Sanborn was a Nursing Home Administrator for over 35 years. He was a 1972 graduate of UNH and received his MBA from URI in 1984. Scott was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, North Scituate, and a member of the finance committee for many years. He was a member and Past President of ACHCA; was named RI and MA Administrator of the year several times and received national awards for Quality Care. He was a coach with the Scituate Soccer League for over 10 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Christian D. Sanborn (Samantha) of N. Scituate, Elena S. Williamson (James) of Cranston and Ian N. Sanborn (Monique) of Danielson, Conn. He was the brother of Alan, Ford, Colin, Lloyd and Melanie Sanborn. He was the loving grandfather of Jaiden and Sienna Williamson.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 8:45 a.m. from the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt.44) Greenville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Danielson Pike, N. Scituate. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation is Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, N.
