Claremont, N.H. — Scott A. Quintey, 68, of Claremont passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Scott was born March 25, 1950, was the son of Albert and Islene Quintey. He attended several grade schools in Claremont and Stevens High School. Scott had previously been employed at Dartmouth Woolen Mill, Homestead Industries, and Sturm Ruger-Pine Tree Castings.

Scott was an active member of the American Legion Post #29 in Claremont, a member of AARP, and a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose-Claremont Chapter.

His favorite pastimes included karate, scuba diving, wood working, boating, fishing, attending local school sporting events, antiquing, yardsaling and enjoyed decorating his yard with seasonal decorations.

Scott is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rita (Riviezzo) Quintey, of Claremont; by his nephew Jonathan F. Stone Claremont; his niece Lianne M. (Stone) Heiser Claremont; great-nephews U.S. Marine Corporal Christian M. Stone of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nicholas M. Stone of Claremont; brother & sister-in-law, Stuart and Mary Stone of Claremont. He is also survived by many other cousins.

Calling hours will be at Stringer Funeral Home on Broad Street Claremont on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church Elm Street Claremont at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD), or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
