Haverhill, N.H. —
Carolyn was born in Barre, Vt., on May 26, 1946, to Earl and Irene (Moulton) Guyette. She attended Spaulding High School in Barre.
Carolyn was employed as a clerk for many years with Butson’s Market, Shaw’s, and Walmart in Woodsville as well as with Kinney Drugs in Bradford, Vt.
In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales and flea markets. She was an avid reader and loved listening to music. She especially loved cooking for large gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas S. Greenlay of Haverhill, to whom she was married on Sept. 12, 1981; two daughters, Carlene Smith and Everand of Springfield, Vt. and Christine Griggs of Bridgewater, Vt.; a son, Michael W. McBride of North Carolina; two grandchildren, Carrie and Bryan; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Lauren; a sister, Flora “Sis” Beaupre and husband Howard of Milton, Vt.; a brother, Gary Guyette and wife Wendy of Hardwick, Vt.; a stepdaughter, Tara Greenlay of Sims, Fla.; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, an aunt, and many dear friends.
Carolyn was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Nicole Paine.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be on Monday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. in the East Corinth Cemetery, East Corinth, Vt.
