Randolph — The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Tuesday evening incident where someone fired a single round from a handgun into the wall of a home on Maple Street in Randolph Village.

Police responded to Maple Street around 5:40 p.m. for a report of shots fired and found that the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute, according to a news release from the sheriff’s department.

After filing for a search warrant, police discovered a bullet inside an interior wall of a residence. Officers removed “several” firearms from the home until they are able to complete an investigation, the release states. Police did not identify who was involved.

No one was injured and there is no threat to the public, authorities said.
