Perkinsville resident Dale Adams Jr., who had been placed on furlough, never returned to his approved residence on May 6, and attempts to contact him since have failed, Vermont State Police said in a Thursday night news release. On May 9, the corrections department placed Adams on escape status.
Adams is considered high risk for re-offending, the release said. According to the state sex offender registry, Adams was convicted of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child in 2012.
