West Fairlee, Vt. — Collamer “Butch” H. Welch, Sr. born March 19, 1940 passed away June 17, 2017 at his home in West Fairlee.

He was predeceased by his son Gregory S. Welch. He is survived by his son Collamer H. Welch, Jr. of Strafford, Vt.; his daughter Kristie L. Welch of West Fairlee, and his daughter Donna Blogett of South Royalton. He is also survived by several sisters and brothers, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren

He worked for Dartmouth College, Vermont Castings, and Lafayette and Sheldon Construction Company.

He loved to fish and hunt and four wheel with friends and family.

There will be no public calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in South Strafford, Vt. A cookout will follow the service at 2361 VT RT 113, West Fairlee.
