Barbara was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Hill, N.H. a the daughter of Claude and Bertha (Bragg) Caswell. She grew up in Bristol, N.H. and attended the local schools. Barbara was married to Donald H. Royce in May of 1960 they made their home in Bellows Falls, Vt., moving to White River Junction in 1975 where they have made there home ever since.
Barbara was an active volunteer with the Listen Center for the past 20 years. She loved reading and had an extensive collection of Angels.
She is predeceased by her husband Donald Royce; two sons, Raymond and Paul Royce; and two brothers, Clayton and Curtis Caswell.
Barbara is survived by four sons, Darrell Royce of Queensbury, N.Y., David Royce of Corinth, Vt., Russell Royce of Randolph, Vt., and Richard Royce of White River Junction; a daughter, Linda Smith of Rutland, Vt.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, Vt.
