Ada D. Eastman, age 96, of Watertown, and recently Portland, Tennessee, passed away October 30, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She lived in Orange, NH with her husband and family until 2014 when she went to live with Carol in Tennessee.
She was born in Lisbon, NH on January 4, 1922 to the late Theron Carl and Reta Hodgeman Dodge. In addition she is preceded in death by her husband, Archie W. Eastman, Sr.; stepson David A Eastman, son-in-law Gleason Decato. Her brothers, Harold and wife Marnie Dodge and Clinton and wife Eleanor Dodge; sister, Esther and husband Valmore Conway.
For fifty-plus years she was a member, and past Worthy Matron, of OES Summit Chapter #56 in Canaan, NH. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Canaan, NH, and attended the Ramah Baptist Church in Watertown, Tennessee. Ada worked as a tax collector for the town of Orange, NH for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol Decato of Portland,Tn., Joyce LaMott and husband Bob of Watertown, Tn., son, Dale Eastman and wife Kathy of Orange, NH; stepson, Archie Eastman Jr and wife Betty of Enfield, NH; step-daughter-in-law, Priscilla Eastman of Claremont, NH, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date in Orange, NH.
