West Lebanon — The nonprofit New Futures will host an advocacy training in the Upper Valley on Thursday evening.

The Concord-based health policy organization aims to teach Granite Staters advocacy techniques such as calling legislators, writing letters to the editor and testifying at the Statehouse.

Issues New Futures-trained advocates have pushed in the past include the reauthorization of Medicaid expansion, support for child care and full-day kindergarten, and increased funding to support those with a substance use disorder.

The Upper Valley training will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Kilton Public Library.
