ALSTEAD, N.H. — A man shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself in a murder-suicide at their home in Alstead, N.H., authorities reported Friday.

Early Thursday evening New Hampshire State Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at 44 Bonnie Brae Drive, where they found the bodies of Steven Lawlor, 56, and Alicia Lawlor, 42, inside their home, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office said in a news release.

Alicia Lawlor and Steven Lawlor each died from a single gunshot wound, the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s office determined, according to the release.

Investigators have concluded that based on the information gathered so far “Steven Lawlor shot and killed Alicia Lawlor and then shot and killed himself,” the Attorney General’s Office said.

The investigation is ongoing but authorities said they did not expect to release further information.
