CLAREMONT — The city announced Thursday that the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center will be open to the public as a warming shelter during extreme cold weather.
The center is located at 152 South Street, across from the Arrowhead recreation area.
Non-members may use the center’s common areas, which include the tables in the lobby and the area behind the front desk.
The community center’s operating hours are:
Monday – Thursday 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The city urges anyone requiring immediate assistance or suffering from an extreme cold emergency to dial 911.
