WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Vermont Adult Learning has moved its two Windsor County locations.
The nonprofit organization’s White River Junction office, previously located at 225 Maple St., has moved to the Community College of Vermont, located at 145 Billings Farm Road in White River Junction, according to a news release from the Burlington-based organization, which has locations through the state.
Its Springfield, Vt., office, previously located at 100 River St., is now at River Valley Technical Center, located at 307 South St.
“These moves create opportunities for closer alignment with technical and workforce training programs in the region, which is an increasingly important bridge in today’s economy,” Matthew Bentley, Vermont Adult Learning’s regional director for Windsor and Windham counties, said in the release.
Both locations are larger than the previous ones, which will allow for more classroom space and quieter places for instructors to meet with students one-on-one.
Students enrolled in Vermont Adult Learning programs can earn their high school diplomas and GEDs, among other certifications, for free with assistance from instructors.
Vermont Adult Learning plans on hosting open houses at both new locations in the coming months. More information about Vermont Adult Learning and its programs is online at vtadultlearning.org.
